Item: 220kw GT40P Heads
Price: $1100ono
Type: Part
Condition: Used

Description: G'day Guys,

Just seeing if anyone is interested in he 220kw Windsor GT40P heads off my mates 2001 AUII 220kw XR8. They come with Yella Terra 1.7 Hyd R/rockers and will have done pretty much spot on 90,000kms.
I believe the 220kw version of these heads have slightly larger valves (1.94 vs 1.90), shaved for a little more compression (9.4:1?), and are CNC ported.
Along with exhaust and intake mods with NO tune, these made 250rwhp(185rwkw) on the vehicle they are on now.
They are still on the car as we speak but the motor is coming out tomorrow and heads hould be available in 2 weeks.
We will also have the 220kw camshaft out of same vehicle, pretty sure specs can be found on the crowcams website.

Obviously price includes the roller rockers and cam can be included aswell. If not will sell cam seperatem, but rockers stay with the heads.

Reply here or PM, can organise postage at buyers expense.

Cheers Jeff

Will these fit a series 2 EL XR8 no problem and are the rockers stock fitment on 220s? I thought they were 1.6s
I'm interested.
Will the heads be pre inspected for condition during engine removal or are they buy as they are?

Yes they will fit series 2 EL XR no problem. Pretty sure the rockers are stock fitment on the 220's and as far as im aware they are 1.7's.

Yes the heads can be inspected for condition upon removal, but will not be cleaned up etc, basically removed, looked over, then ready for sale.

I'm I going to have geometry problems with the rockers bring 1.7 on the valves do you think because my cam is different (smaller)?
I'm keen on these heads. Any chance of pics when they come off? Your in Landsdale if I'm not mistaken? I bought a thermostat off you for my XR6.

Nah mate, it will just give you extra lift with the 1.7's. You may have to play with pushrod length and maybe go for a shorter pushrod to maintain correct valve tip to roller contact.

Yep will post up pics of all the bits once we get them back from A1HiPerformance, Which should hopefully be this week.

Yeah mate, that was me with the Thermostat, wasnt home at the time but i remember the one.

The ELII will love the GT40P's mate, if your going that far you may aswell throw in the AU 220 cam to give it a bit more bite, it goes with the heads for free if the buyer wants it.

Wait until you get the heads back and you say they are good then I think you got a buyer @ $1100.

No worries mate, will keep in touch.

Any other plans for the EL to compliment these mods?

Already have race series under drive pulleys and 75mm TB and EGR (EGR blocked off I think).
I have the explorer manifold as standard with the ELGT headers as part of the series 2.
Just want her to breathe a bit better than being choked on the E7s.
Also the coolant was blocked from entering the manifold by BPT so it runs a bit cooler (I know that sounds weird).

Sounds good mate, i understand about the coolant pipes to the EGR, blocking them elinimates the heat in the intake caused by the hot coolant in the EGR. Mine came with EGR blocked aswell, coolant lines were removed by me afterwards though.

I think its about time you started a nice little build thread  It'll certainly breathe alot better with these puppies on, i do suggest though reducing T/B size, you'll definately notice an increase there. Headers will be fine too mate, i wouldnt waste cash changing them out.

I've still got the stock 58mm TB. So its either stick with the 75mm of go back to 58mm. One can flow more but velocity is greatly reduced. The other is the opposite.
Not sure which to stick with.
