i thought there was only 1 part that came off the boot lol i want those gas arms, they bolt or clip on next to the hinge if i can get a pic of some1s eseries boot ill let u know what i mean anyway thanx man

that should be the part i need right if my boot isnt holding itself up? ill go searching and get a part then well organise drop off and payment and ive already assumed cash is ok

looks like it mate ive opened my boot and turned my head to the right and this is the pic i got, using a flashlight and a phone lol

we definately wont be able to do the trade tomorrow, other than that wednesday - friday 9am - 5:15pm saturday 9am - 4:50pm if u cant drop them off this week ill let u know whats possible next week

also after uve stripped it and sold most of it what do u want for the rolling chassis, no panels just the frame and the wheels

Ok they are out
Procedure is:
Remove bottom bit of rear seat
Undo 1x 10mm bolt at the bottom of each side bolster
Remove bolsters
I had to remove the C pillar plastics, you may or may not have to
This will expose the struts. They are sitting up there behind the seat belt.
To get them off you need a small flat blade screw driver and pry a clip off. You'll see what I mean when you get them.

Lift the boot up and support it somehow. Pry the clips off the other end.

That's all there is to it.
BTW you're right about being dangerous that boot lid is bloody heavy without the struts

yes im sick of catching my fingers so will i need any specials tools for this job and is it easy to f**k it up. when u get a chance this week just go into netway computers at southlands in willeton between 9am to 5pm and ask for cam and he'll have the money, thanx

alright i pulled the pillar off and when i pull back the corner parts of the seat i can c the strut but where is the bolt that pulls that part of the seat out mabe u could post me a pic thanx

Yes they are and the one in the EL is stuffed I think
I sold the EF one on the weekend

There are no special tools, 10mm socket & a flat blade screw driver are all you need

The bolt is at the bottom, you need to remove the bench part of the seat to get to it.

what so i have to pull the whole rear set out if i pull on the corner piece i can c the strut so mabe i could definately fit a screw driver in the gap so would it be possible to do it that way, when do u think u can drop em off i just had another battle with my boot, i lost again lol
