Havent changed anything, but it is the first time its been run since Jeff adjusted the throttle body.

Now the shifting is spot on and has alot more in the midrange. Just hooked up well and the rest was the car.

Might be going either next week or the week after. I reckon possibly a tenth or 2 can be shaven off. :D

Sweet, well hopefully I'll be down there some time in November and see a 13.5 or better!

Should make a date of it.

Jeff has a set of ET Streets, Kilma has got a better set of diff gears and lsd in his rig (blown EF XR8), i'm hoping to make it down and shave a tenth or 2.

Should be good if there is a handful of low 13 E series V8's getting down.

1500kg car, 80kg me.

3. rear wheel power or engine horse power figure of a dyno ?
165rwkw.

4. rate ur driving skills poor to good out of 0 to 10 ( lol this will be interesting also
id say mayb 7-8/10.

5. what track did u ran at ?Hot day or Cold day air temp please ?
Heathcote Park. Air temp was close to 30 degrees.

6. what tyres and differential ratios ?
225/50/15 turranzas, 3.73

7. elapsed time and mile per hour u pulled down the quarter mile ???
14.65 1/4, cant remember mph.

8. 60 foot mark ?
cant remember that either sorry.

1. EF XR8, 4 spd auto, 3.7 diff, Vortech V2 blower, standard motor bar 75mm throttle body, cobra manifold.

2. Car around 1600kg, me about 150 kg's

3. around 300 rwhp

4. Driving skill around 7/10, could use a bit more with the shifting. Take offs were touch and go with traction.

5. Perth Motorplex, cold clear night, air temp in the high teens and getting colder.

6. Bf goodrich 235 40 r17

7. 13.9 @ 96 mph.

8. 2.1 60ft.

I reckon i could get a couple of tenths in it, drag season is over in the west. Had probs with car not shifting at 5500rpm, all sorted now, a few more tenths in it, a 13.7 i would think.

3. around 300 rwhp

4. Driving skill 9.5/10 . Burnouts were great, launch was as good as i'll ever getm no traction problems and hooked up well, i dont think i can get more out.

5.Perth Motorplex, cold little bit of overcast, temp was around 20ish degrees.

6. 235/45/R17 dunlop sp sport 3000's

7. 13.2 @ 105mph.

8. 2.05 second 60ft.

Im wrapped with it, i dont see the car getting any faster unless something changes, car ran with spare tyre, me (around 150kg)stereo and every thing standard under the rocker covers. Over the moon. :D
Only way she'll go faster is driver weight reduction.

Great work Jas! You'll need to update the sig! I wanna go down tomorrow, but the car's telling me no. WOT still seems to be ok, so maybe I'll take her anyways. It might blow some cobwebs out.

This may be ever so slightly off topic, but in 1985 a guy called Sammy Miller ripped a <4sec 1/4 mile in a car that had something like 25000hp.

I think he may actually hold the current 1/4 mile record..

I reckon you could probably get internal bleeding with that kind of force on your body...

had my first run down the qtr mile on saturday, loved every second of it!
it was at calder park - street meet with the "new concrete launch pad"
it was a warm day around 25+
i was in my "97 fairlane 5l n/a auto 3.45 lsd, weight of car?, me- around 100kg :?
engine hp? it's a std motor (e7's ho manifold) with 278,xxx klm's on it , ss cia, k&n filter, te50 maf, custom intake tube, underdrive pulley's, pacie header's into dual 3" hiflo magna flow metal cat's into a custom 3" exhaust with a hooker aero chamber muffler & resi.
i had on the draglite's front 15x6 "195's" & back 15x8 "265's" sumitomo tyre's.
only got in 3 pass's (due to chin wagging & oil down) they were back to back with the very first being the best time & reaction time's better each run!
all the run's had wheel spin off the line, slippery start pad (not hp :? )
i'm more of a cruiser guy & was the first time the 'lane had seen over 120kpm & first true burnout it's done in the 18 month's i've had it
had no idea what it would run... but are happy with how it went!
i've now the base time to gauge the future mod's against.
