So, who watched the first episode of TGA this week? Any thoughts?
I liked it, it seemed OK to me. I thought the outback trip was a bit short, they could have got a lot more footage out of a 1000k trip, but it was still good.
Warnie is a clown, I hope they [url]don't[/url] use him a lot.
A big plus was the XG ute for everyone to fang around. Much better than a cheap korean s**t! That will be cool to watch.

Plus, is it true that the Aussie Stig is Warren Luff?

I thought it was miles ahead of the original season, ute was a good original idea too.
Their track and camera angles in the first season was ridiculously s**t, but I think theyve gone a touch over the top with the track now, but its definitely a good improvement.

I thought it was great!! I would much rather watch the aussie series over the uk . . . I few others on another forum have said that they thought it was painfull to watch but im the opposite - looking forward to next week . . .

You can tell that the supposedly "off the cuff" banter crap between the boys is scripted.
No doubt so is the pommie version but Clarkson & his boys come across as being more natural.

They have been doing it longer, the problem is the Aussie guys just need to be themselves, and not try and be an Australian version of their UK counterparts, which will happen if it stays on air long enough with the same cast.

Correct. Why have the kept the most irritating one. The main thing that annoys me with him is the way that he talks. The best example is "Keeeeelowatts" - it sounds so nasal and whiny

I thought the new series was very good with a true aussie tinge to the show. The last two episodes seemed like they found the formula to make Top Gear Australia entertaining and succesful.

but damn TG USA is pretty good!



it is the s**t the govt feeds us about speed etc that will make it hard for TG AUS to be anywhere near good enough
