DO you even know what a 2JZ is? Nothing ricer about them.

What is the reason you want to put a 2JZ in? These DOHC motors with a bit of work are getting alot of power if that's the reason, it'd be alot easier too. Dunno why you'd wanna put a T5 behind a 2J either....I think you need to do a bit more reading ;)

Can we ban these losers yet?

2jz would be mad. The supra's sump is in the wrong spot so get an Aristo motor, the sump pan is at the other end.

T5 wont bolt up. lol at thinking it would suit. I dont think anyone makes a bellhousing to fit one to anything good because they are weaksauce.

Use the auto you get in the front cut, they can be made pretty strong with just a valve body upgrade. Or you can try and find R154 or V160, big $$ though. Not sure if it would fit in the tunnel or not.

I think someone mentioned Mal Wood is going to do an adapter plate or bellhousing to fit a T56 to a 2jz. Might be worth a shot and be a little bit cheaper. Custom tailshaft, engine mounts, radiator setup will be needed either way.

I'd use a late model twin cam falcon motor instead. More power to be had using the stock turbo and it bolts in. You can use your T5 until you can afford a decent box too.

There a 1J XF and EA that I heard off, But cant help anymore then that.

But a 1.5JZ would be a great addition to a E series. a W154 or what ever they called would be the way to go. They fit in the falcons trans tunnel. I got one im my old 81 Cressie. :) Small box.

Custom tail shaft is required. as would be engine mounts and ECU will have to be stand alone type unit.

If your going to convert Jap into a Ford or Aussie car??
At Least fit a 1UZ / 3UZ Toyota, Lexus or VH45 Nissan motor...

There are soooo many 220 / 3 valve Ford V8's in wreckers its not funny these days..
They would go well with decent centrifugal blower, turbo...
Strangely enough they bolt up to Ford transmissions too...

Looking at the amount of 3V V8s outside AllFord Wreckers on Victoria Rd Smithfield ???
I would say NOT too much !!! It's not like they're an engine that fails or is supper popular to fit in other models like the 6's...
From my understanding the rotating assembly is the same as Boss motor...
So there's heaps of potential there... Ford Mod motors take WELL to forced induction...
Much the same as our Falcon 6's...
I have bought two 1UZ's for my Celica project for $650 ..
Front cuts would start from $2500 ...

How can you say that? Every second drift s**t box has (or wants) a 2JZ, they even put them in VL commonwhores as a replacement for the RB30. The people who had the idea to put one in a '67 mustang in that stupid movie need f**k in' with a broken broom handle.

Fit a barra turbo and you will be able to,
a) blow away the rice / sneeze cars, and,
b) show your face in public.
8-)

it should fit, ive seen a VS commodore around here with a 2jz in it so im guessing the engine bays are roughly the same size.

I'd have a 2JZ in the place of my 4L.
anyone who wouldn't is a fool.

Guaranteed up to 800hp at the wheels all day every day with just bolt ons. (single turbo conversion, decent cooler and fuelling upgrades). That's 600kW at the wheels from a motor that has noot been opened up. Tell me you can do that with a falcon 6 and then you can call a 2JZ a s**t ricer motor.

Have a look here for a rough price guide on what it takes to get a falcon motor pumping out those numbers reliably.
