im slowly getting there on my turbo project, got the dsr 480 turbo, 50mm wastegate planning on running a LINK ECU (has anyone run one with their i6 before?) theyre what justabout every tuner around here uses and at $1800 theyre pretty good value. was gonna use my std fuel pump as a lift pump to a 550hp walbro or aeromotive fuel pump attached to a surge tank. injectors http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bosch-Ford-Racing-39lb-39-lb-42lb-42-Fuel-Injectors-EV1_W0QQitemZ360095874617QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item53d762fe39 lookin at these, the EV1 and EV6 types got me abit confused. i guess one types for jap n the other usa, but which is right for the ol aus ford?
the old girl is really ready to pull apart and start again. the wiring MUST hav been fukdup the first time. it seems to idle super rich then F**k out (sounds like deton/bad miss) under load or trying to cruise. so i gave it all a waterblast to see what i was doin when pullin it apart. started up fine after the blast but then hours later, it just started turning itself over. disconnect battery, connect, still turning over. im sure a turbo will fix this too.
any ideas, suggestions, much appreciated
