should i not use the butterflies on my bbm manifold when i turbo,or does it not change much?

try it and satisfy yourself. i have been in a boosted car with them held one way and then the other. You can notice the difference. This just represents a seat-of-the-pants opinion and verifying it on a dyno would be alot more accurate.

Removing them all together looks bad for low-rpm performance in my worthless opinion.

Easy enough to activate them with either an rpm switch or a hobbs switch.

As i said, its up to you.

your point of removing them??????

BA/BF XR TURBO BBM manifolds DO NOT have the butterfly's from the factory..

That only means they dont prove to be a benefit on a BA motor.

They will still encourage low down torque which will help spool a turbo.

ill run with them and see how it goes,cant be too much of a problem

i took myn out.....to much retriction up top...the 4L is a big motor ...has no trouble spooling up a turbo ...yeah theres a bit of lag there but stuff all compared to smaller engines which may benifit from using a bbm type intake on them.
