my mate blew his head gasket last night and cant get the gasket to sit on the head and stay inline while he bolts it up. also when you punch the clutch it stalls. any ideas.

the story it is a car from the dark side yes vs ecotec. he got a blower kit which was "bolt in" what bs that was he started at 9am i got there at 3pm and i didnt finish till 2am. its spose to be max 4psi.

i know its an ecotec but any ideas etc would help.

the dowels in the block surface should hold the gasket in place while u drop the head down onto it (easier with one person on each side of the head to lower it on......less chance of damaging gasket)
As for the stalling issue........could be any number of things wrong with it. What make/model is it to start with?
