Very interested, though not in a whole kit.
I'd be in for just a Vortech V-2 with bracket to suit EF-EL...
And I said I'd never go the supercharger route... :P

I'm only interested in a Vortech V-2 with all the mounting hardware and bracket to suit EF-EL serpentine setup.
When you price from them see if I can still be squeezed into a group buy..

No probs steady ed. There are a few others who just want supercharger and bracket also. I'll run it past my contact at CAPA once we get initial pricing.

Cheers mate, count me in at the moment.
Hopefully we can get the numbers CAPA requires for a tidy discount.
If we struggle with members on here, we can always try other forums.

Fourbarrel, would they include a BA xr6 Supercharger as part of the group buys, might talk dad into finally getting it if he gets a good discount.
Cheers buddy.

The buy is only really intended for e-series. But if your really serious I will pose the question. Talk to your old man first. Note the CAPA kit for the BA is already a very low $3995 and pushes out 305KW.

Us e-series owners need to put in a little extra effort and spend a little extra cash for the ultimate sleeper...

is there any particular reason behind the water injection for the 9psi powerdyne kit? just to drop intake temps?

would psi without water injection to much? or would u really need an intercooler in not going water injection? (which is where i would wanna go. mmm front mount)

If you can get it for us for that price i'm sure he'd be stoked. (or even less)

Yeah, drop intake temps I'd say. Ward off detonation.
Don't think centrifugal blowers increase intake temps as much as say a positive displacement blower or turbo though.
I know at the drags a while back Steve (dcstraight) was seeing some fairly high manifold temps with his turbo while Dave (EL XR8) was keeping fairly steady temps at a bit above ambient with his vortech blower.
Depends on what sort of power you're chasing as whether you go intercooled/water injection or not.
With higher boost levels its a bit of insurance against detonation.
I'll be going air-to-air front mount intercooling myself.
He he, just saw this thread this arvo and I've already got it planned out!

i think that at 9psi there were some detonation problems without the water injection, so if you ran an intercooler it would do the same thing as the h2o injection (but look better), thats why ive chosen the combo i want (straight scroll housing makes it easier to plumb)
