I read somewhere that for F1 cars its a 50/50 split between using inductive and CDI. These are engines that do 18000RPM.

EBXR8. Check out www.iceignition.com.au . I dont think they are doing anything that special. They have a medium setup that puts 16volts to the coil and a hipo setup that puts 24 volts to the coil. But knowing the style of coil/ignitor/dwell settings is where the tech is.

Their ignition system was in the winners engine of the latest US Engine Masters competition.

I'd like to do a 1 coil per cylinder running 20 volts to each coil. I was thinking of using LS2 coils with the built in ignitor but it takes a bit of experimentation to see what works.

I'm not using distributor and there is only 6 ignition drivers in ECU.. So wasted spark it is.. Not too bad with turbo engine anyway.. Thats not to say cop still can't be used in wasted spark..
Not too sure what can be used in my case??
Something similar to DIS_4 but I think there's better than MSD...
I don't need more spark control, just stronger longer spark...
