hi guys, can anyone give me some info on this, i have a 2002 BA XR6T and the temp never sits under 1/4 it always hovers between 1/4 and 1/2 , is this normal for these cars or is this something i should be looking into ?

Normal, unless its been tuned.

Normal operating temp on the gauge will show as a needles width or 2 under the half mark. Mine sat solidly in that position until it got tuned with a different thermostat.

ahhh it is going for a tune shortly but didnt know if this was normal or not. any thermostat that u recommend?

It's whatever thermostat temp the tuner recommends. They will tune the car with the temperature in mind.

So you will have to ask them. But not all tuners change the thermostat though.

ahhh ok. so ask him when i go down there? well at least i know now that my engine is starting to giv me trouble :D

I have an 82 degree thermostat in mine and apparently you can go cooler to a 72 degree unit.
