does anyone have information/knowledge of electric superchargers? or even better some examples?

Seen a site once on the net cant rember what it was but a search should get what you want. The one I saw was plans for a home built elec s/c where the parts were avalible from the likes of bunnings or most hardware stores. It gave 2lb boost with promises of increased fuel econnomy. Have a look and decide for your self but I doubt it would work.

Ducting and misc - $10 Dyno Time to proove your gain - $150 Look on dyno operators face when he sees that you have a computer fan in your intake - priceless If you want, Geek Technologies will hook you up with the best of the best fans, but let me assure you a car will not gain anything from it. Cooling your case however, it can do a good job of. Cheers

lol, theres an articale somewhere on the net, it states that the most eficient supercharger is on a bmw or similar, and it consumes 13kw to drive it... at about 7psi
now, put those numbers into a 12v fan and it becomes quite ridulous to think you could boost your car with it 13000w/13.5v= get this 962A....... hahahaha even if you ran 1psi, youd be at 137A, you may want another couple of alternators..... and with the efficiency loss of those alternators, youd have less power than before you added the 1psi

Cheers HAHA so true, yeah these electronic superchargers are for people that r tight asses and dont want to turbo or mech supercharger their car ..but want the wank factor of 1psi "oh my god on boost i have 6kw @ wheels" i wouldnt waste ur time bro. |

This subject has been covered a couple of times on this forum. Do a search and see what you come up with.
The general consensus (spelling??) was that the $$$ could be better spent elsewhere on the car.

Claims of improvements even on small engines seem dubious to me, based on the above.
