I was thinking about thinking about putting a f6 motor in my EL instead of getting a turbo for the motor, was just wondering if it would be possible to put the f6 motor in a EL

Thinking about thinking about it.

Dreaming to a new level.

Its impossible. The F6 engine means you cant turn left in an E series.

yes it is people have done ba motors
itll be easyer and cheaper to get a turbo kit
do a search for ba into ea/el
you should come up with several topics

Can't really mod the BA sump like an AU one due to the location for the oil pump in the BA. Right at the front of the motor.

You would need to mod the K Frame which has been done before for AU conversions into EF/EL models.

All the other mods are needed.

The most common option of the handful I have seen is to use the complete wiring loom and interior from a BA in the EL Shell.

Or you can get the Barra engine to run off the BA PCM with some flash adjustments, and hook it into the EL loom.

Cheers
BenJ

Watch out, we have an expert here who knows more than the people who have done or are doing the conversion!

if it was as simple as modifiying the sump im sure there would be hardly any/ none at all chopping the k frame, and there would be alot more people getting this conversion as it would be a easier to get an engineers report passed

lol mate your telling me that u have to cut the xmember in your car to fit in an engine wtf .its been done mate, and with out cutting chunks out of your frame u modify the sump and the alternator bracket theres mods been done in ea,eb au, even xf falcons that have been done with the ba turbo engine,so your going to chop your engine bay up before your have a good look around for a mod and see what has to be done to make it work in your modle car ah ,,,mate f**k off your a idiot..........................

Mate, with an EA-D K frame, what you are saying is correct. With EF/L it is not.

Ea-ed has slightly different k frame so what kind of f**k are you, then au k frame is completly different again- stop goin off half C**k, your making an absolut f**k of yourself in front of everyone

To put it simply
You will need a ba motor
K frame to be cut and welded
ba ecu to be flashed or other type of ecu
modified ba loom
or replace el interior with ba
and lots of patience

Good luck
