You wouldn't really run a stage 3 cam with a turbo setup as its probably not suited for the turbo.

Quite easily it can be set on either a blow thru or a suck system, depends on what you want to do but your mixer currently probably wouldnt be enough, then agian could just be! (dunno what uhave)

i suggest call Joe @ Crescent Motorsports on (02) 9600-6229 ..

Im about to give it a go with my lpg :P

Use gas mixer and something like a boost retard from www.msdignition.com etc..That way you get 20* spark and some tuning....There are others out there like www.Haltech.com.au that just control spark, but also need to register boost to have some kind of tune...Ha and keep engine together...

if you are worried about swapping out a camshaft then you should prob steer clear of the whole idea. A custom cam is only 180$ so its no biggie.
Stage 3 would bleed off too much, maybe not at higher boost pressures but not suited to mild turbo stuff, turbo's need very "mild" cams to work effectively.

I think someone elsewhere runs gas on his standard six and on pertrol it could take 5psi, on gas 7psi, a GT35/40 or one off of an XR6T would be nice, might be a bit big if ure only going to run 7psi, intercooled maybe it would handle more?

Would suggest GT35/40 with external gate, single GRA 510, two B2's, twin lockoffs, twin lines, nice intercooler. That would be a fat setup but prob blow your std engine to bits if you pushed the boost too high, whack in some low comp pistons, custom cam, roller rockers, rods if you can afford it and you have a decent setup. Problem is that its very easy to go too far, you also need good ignition management with boost retard function, good head hasket etc, gets expensive.

Jump on Xfalcon.com.au, there is someone on there with exactly what you are after.

With gas i'd keep to slightly bigger A.R housing ..Well atleast 1.06...Gas is hotter on turbines...

actually GETTING the LPG setup will cost a lot.
a friend of mine had a straight LPG setup from Gas Research put in, with twin lines, twin converters, single t/b, single tank.
fueling good for 300+rwkw, but it cost close to $3k....
$3k will get some good EFI stuff

GRA is the motec of the LPG world. If your going petrol how much would a top shelf Motec computer cost. Then twin bosh motorsport pumps. Then a set of 1000cc injectors. Then 1/2" fuel lines. Then tuning the thing. And I'm sure I have missed a lot of other things here.

I'd take the gas thanks.

Buy it second hand it wouldn't cost over 1K, LPG parts ussually don't wear out or get damaged, so second hand stuff is OK.

Bozz's EL 5spd is on gas and he ran a turbo on it to see what he could get, won't give out figures yet, but it was very impressive for a stock motor .

Is there any advantage to a blow through (I presume this means turbo, lpg mixer then throttle body) or suck (lpg, turbo, throttle) system?
would a blow system be better as the LPG isn't running through the hot turbo and then through the intercooler?
On a suck system would the LPG go before or after the intercooler?

i completely agree.
but i'm giving a price for a supplied and fitted system, that is proven.
there is no doubt its cheaper then a motec setup, but $3k is a good headstart for EFI gear.

my cars LPG and on the road to high HP.... and i'm not having any 2nd thoughts :)

with a draw thru system i have been told that you cannot run an intercooler... creates a big KAF@CKEN BOOM apparently
anyone wanna second this thought???
so you need to run water injection
blow thru in my personnal opinion is much better... i realy dont like the idea of gas going thru a hot turbo
cheers hope this helps
oh and $2200 will get you a gas system that can handle 200rwkw on a turbo 4L
