The other day I was talking to my local exhaust bloke here at Mudgee and asked about putting a highflow catalactic convertor on my 95' EF GLi Falcon (DuelFuel). He said it's a waste of money. What advantages would a highflow cat give me over the one I already have (standard).

PS: Current mods on my standard motor are: New exhaust system 2-1/2" with no rear resonator on tail-pipe and 3" custom pipe with POD for air-intake (not in no box).

I would get a new one put on because of the fact that your current one is now 12 years old. If getting a new zorst might as well replace the lot as pointless as it seems.

just a quick question are you still running standard exhaust manifold?
is it still stocko exhaust the rest of the way?
If youve got what everyone else has (redback exhaust cat back system) get a new rear pipe with no resignator. get a 2.5inch hi flow, and some pacemaker extractors. Ill be selling my pacies and full exhaust system in about 2-3 months.

Yes, still running standard exhaust with just straight tail-pipe with no resignator. Wouldn't mind the extractors but I have a duel-fuel gas. Might be a bit hard to fit. How much you want for the system?

What sort of high flow cats are you guys talking about? The legal (proper big bore cat) or illegal (punched out stocker) variety. And why would you when the standard cat is apparently good for 650hp worth of airflow with the only mod being bigger flanges to match the rest of your zorst.

If your cat is buggered it will spit crap into your new muffler. got a supercat 2.5 S/S on mine. They didnt have the cat in stock when the system was fitted, so for 24 hours it had no cat at all. Sounds better and runs better with the cat on.
