I'm offering 2, so they can be raced side by side, and dyno'd back to back. Then there's no arguments about weather or any crap like that.

To keep inline with the strict protocol of fordmods the test vehicle should be an ex taxi and preferably a station wagon. If it's a bit scruffy and needs tidied up frd906 will do the panel work on it for cheap and mitchell g will paint it for us...

Wouldn't it be better to flow test each manifold?

hi-boost doesnt sell any products why are you trying to drag him into this further?

we dont have any issues why some continue to push the point is beyond me

waggin i will be happy to provide parts for testing we can maybe work out a sponsership deal thats better suited to both fordmods and snort performance its clear there is alot of interest in these subjects could be good for all involved

For the sake of marketing & sign of good gesture towards valuable customers I would like to offer my BA as the donor since I brought up the idea. I will drive it up for the installation & drive it back down to Tas with the wining product for further road testing.
waggin get's to drive it when he's down here once in a while, you get 60% off the sponsorship fee for 2 years and you're left will a very very happy customer.... win win for all!

LOL. I like my idea better :D

Geoff, we'd love to get you on board as a sponsor and I'm sure the members agree. We have lots of Snort customers on here and we'd like to give you your own Forum so you can openly tell everyone how great your product is.

Waggin gets to have a ride if he's ever down here while I show off the winning merchandise.

Who ever wins the test gets to slap on the full body company logo stickers for maximum exposure for all younglings down here who has never heard of their fine product...

Just kidding guys. I'm sure there are lots of potential & loyal FM members here who would love to see more options on the table. an accessible portal for updates on new products, group buys & special offer announcements. who knows, even I might be interested in a kit to tinker with in the shed once I'm retired.

The current designs of both Snort and 6Boost are fine. I doubt there is anything in it.

The debate should be what is the better material to make the manifold out of.

Is it Schedule 40 steel pipe bends

or Schedule 10 316 stainless steel

I for one have build manifolds out of both and I still dont know and the debate is still open.

If I had a choice it would probably be schedule 10 mild steel but thats not available.

That manifold snort pictured made out of sched 10 316 looks fine in its design and material choice and should be worth at least as much as a 6boost.

I remember seeing the very first Snorts manifolds that sold for $800. What were they made out of. It wasn't sched 10. For the price they were fine.

If it's so hard to decide between the materials, and both are out on the streets working fine - then what does it matter?? Are we talking the difference between 80 years and 100 years life.. or 5 years vs 20 years? :)
