hi guys,

just about finished my new turbo manifold project, all thats left to do is the wastegate outlet pipe, this is designed to fit a 35/40 and a turbosmart 48mm progate onto my eb.

it features a laser cut head flange, 11/4 steampipe bends and pipe, a full flow collector (each runner has an unobstucted path through the flange) tig welded, collector pipes/collector to turbo flange joins/head flange joins are all welded inside and out to prevent cracking, stainless steel thread inserts on the turbo flange threads, equal length runners to within 90mm, has a heap of room for the oil drain pipe, fitted with a turbosmart 48mm flange.

we are making these to sell if anyone is interested, to make it viable for us to make them, we need to sell it for around $800. we can do a good deal on a turbosmart wastegate to suit it, or anything else turbosmart for that matter...

thanks, im glad you like it, im not 100% sure what other models it will fit, i know it can do ea-ed, i rekn theres no reason why it wouldnt fit ef-el, and most likely au aswell but i may have to trial fit one

we measured something like 20mm clarance to tower, nd the braces are only attached to our jig not the actual manifold... actually the first manifold to have that pipe layout that i ever saw was the tsa one. and the one jason ghiller made for dansedgli's old au, jmm, snort all seem to use the same layout.

this is the only photo i have of the collector, although i have 3 more sets of collectors ready to weld up, i can get more photos... note, every piece of pipe used on the manifold is chamfered in the lathe before fitment.. makes for a good weld

ah TIG... i am not saying they are crap welds, but before i say anything further, i am going to delete the above post, as i think i may have past judgement a little early as i cannot see the pic in high detail.

From those pics welds look good to me .... very nice fabrication job

A little trick from an old retired boilermaker/welder .... wire brushing finished welds will make them look a treat

Very nice welding. I just paid 20 bucks per weld for TIG welding on some stainless pipe... you can see why most charge a grand or so for a manifold like that
