i think they call it torque... and being on full boost by about 2000rpm

actual figures for v6S and 5.7

VT S 1611kg 1/4 = 15.36
statesman V8 1735kg 1/4 = 14.83

thats not even a fair comparison as the statesman is 124kg heavier but proves that the V8 is much faster

Remember that the super V6 came out while the 5.0 was being used. And it's torque that equates to acceleration, you just want the torque to be made at as higher RPM as you can :)

so what would win provided they were in the same weight vehicle....turbo diesel with a heap of torque but say only 150kw or a F1 2.4 V8 with no torque but 600kw....assume gearing provides similar in gear speeds

yeah the diesel, no point have kw if you don't have the grunt pulling it up

As for you're question, Street Machine put a manual in and ran a test... the supercharger worked perfectly with the gearing in the box and the rear gears... They had to make adjust the computer for the manual with the supercharger settings, and it was quicker...

Can't remeber what issue it was, but i'll see if I can source it...

worse than a commo? I've only driven a VT twice, that's the only holden I've ever driven... both times my mate was drunk and we had no money for a cab

well... I'd pray the laser was the TX3 turbo....

It's not really the engine, more the make of car that I refuse...

I won't drive behind or next to a Volvo, or park near them.... I don't care what anyone says, I've seen more than my share of volvo wankers

I'm surprised all these Ford people singing the praises of Holden...

Where have all the die-hard, one-eyed ford supporters gone?

As Derryn Hinch would say... shame, shame, shame

No matter what you say, it's still a poxy Commodore. And a fat, ugly one at that
