Alttle too small, two would be o/k..The exhaust housing is too small for the six to make power in upper rpm.Chokeing exhaust...

One GTR turbo would be too small, you would need both.

Try an XR6 Turbo. Perhaps some of the single turbo Supra's or Soarers. At the end of the day the turbo isn't going to be the most expensive part. It's all the little things that push it to $6000.

The turbo off a VL is a plain bearing T3 with a baby exhaust housing. Its laggy enough on a VL (with no noticeable boost untill around 3000rpm) and they reckon that a GT 35/40 is even laggier still when fitted on a VL.

Yeah T3... 0.60 AR exhaust housing if I remeber correctly, which is too small for 4lts. a T3 would work and boost very early ( really too early ) but strangle top end air flow.
Nissan VG30's have been used on ford 6s, but again end up strangling to motor.
If your tight, look for a used TO4e, T4 or similar... should grab one for under a grand but they are still hard to find used and in decent cond.

XR6t's garrett turbo is about the only factory issue turbo that will suit our sixes... no cheap way round it unfortunatly
