dose anyone know what brand of wastegate is this and where i can get a replacment spring for it
preferably around sydney

looks like a ebay job they call them hks style. no namer. try snort performace they use these un branded wastgates

yeah i got it from snort but im not going near him again ....had a very bad experince.

he told me there was a 8lb spring in it....i later found out they come standard with a 12lb spring.... thats y i want a new spring
yeah looks like he knows his stuff....pppfff yeah right

mate i have the exact same wastegate and i too am trying too find a lighter spring. i tried turbosmart, gcg and a few others and unless i was using one of THEIR wastegates they couldnt help me.
my ebay special has a 14.7psi (1bar) spring. i have found on ebay america a guy that sell springs for our gates.
btw the spring has a 50mm diameter.

i have found 1 site www.theturboshop.com.au
they hav the wastegate on their site...iv email them letting them know what i want and asking for their fone number...so with a bit of luck they'll reply tomorrow
i dont know where about in australia they are though
if i can get 1 off them ill let you know

Ok i have heard back from theturboshop.com.au and he has said:

$30 for 8psi spring
$50 for 5psi spring

thats for the 50mm HKS style no name

shipped out of brisbane

$50 for a 5lb spring is ridiculous...

mate i bought the snort kit with 50mm hks style gate 2 years ago very doggy gear i have since changed to a turbo smart ultra gate my boost sat dead on 7psi you can have the old spring if you want.
