I've just been running the EF XR6 plug, and gapping it to .8

I would like to hear what other people are doing also. I was thinking of changing to either an autolight 985 plug or some iridiums.

i use BPR6EY 11 and the standards are BPR5EY 11.

there is no need to gap the plugs to .8 unless ur running over 15 psi boost.

also with a good igniton system there is less of a need to reduse the plug gap with high boost

Thats the thing, I'm not to sure If I have a good ignition system or not. I havn't been able to find anyone that knows about the coil pack setups..

I might try leaving the gap at 1 or 1.1 the next set of plugs a put in, and see how it runs..

i ment a good ingnition system as in msd, crane.

the easyst thig to do is buy a set of plugs for a factory au1 lpg 4l, and just put them strait in.

im running zgr6b-11's gapped at .8 although, i do have a crane ign, im thinking i might open them up to 1mm, from previous experience, gap sizes make a big driveability difference, they run smoother with big gaps if you can get away with it

aiming for 15psi boost, well, i have ran 15lb already, but not dyno tuned yet, will be doing that in the next two weeks

yeh with your setup ebs_4l i would leave to plugs at 1.1, with only 15psi and low comp plus a good ignition system it will be better, than 0.8. or just have a play on the dyno and see wat happens

The shorter plugs similar to std plugs are better as they disipate heat better.. Turbo engines are different from N/A in this area.. If gap is too much you'll end up with spark blow out... The long XR6 style plug in high power engine can glow and cause detonation etc... For every 100 h.p over std you should run 1 heat range colder plug.... Then you need good ignition to prevent plug fauling.... Vicious circle!!! With low comp engine's colder plugs may not nessessary...
