looking for parts externally from an xr6 turbo motor. If anyone has or knows anyone that has an xr6 turbo engine in pieces and willing to separate parts, let me know. Cheers
i have rang numerous workshops and people that own turbo falcons, but have found none..

ebay is a mecca for people upgrading their xr6 turbo's and selling off the stock turbo gear..
just type into the search box "xr6 turbo".. usualy about 350+ items are found in the resulting search.. |

Unless you can find a complete engine it's going to be EXTREMELY difficult to find every single piece you need, at some point you will have to bite the bullet and buy new genuine parts. I found most of the bulky stuff like the exhaust manifold, dump, intake manifold, turbo and oil feed line on Ford forums. These parts are most commonly changed out by people who are upgrading. Some good forums to check: Fordmods.com, fordxr6turbo.com.au and boostedfalcon.net.

the thing is, have turbo, turbo manifold and turbo inlet manifold. not much difference really. I just some little items here and there that the turbo engine has, and the n/a doesnt.
Ebay is rubbish for the items im looking for, cos no one is upgrading items off the original motor besides turbo and turbo manifold. Im looking for items that get left as part of the engine. fordman351 you may be right, i may have to bite the bullet, but you would think there are engines apart around australia.... EBXR8380 they are not far from my house this wrecker, but they have no engines in pieces. they only sell the whole engine..

Yeah i know what you mean, i called literally dozens of workshops in the hope of finding odd bits and pieces, but most were less than willing to part with what they had plus most of them give the old parts back to the owners

most items to convert my na engine to turbo.
after speaking to a workshop today and showing me a ba ute they converted the standard engine to turbo, i have less questions. need the extra loom for the ecu and the ecu itself. but in terms of engine, i need fpr.

my main experience is with mitsu evos and protons. I dont know the falcons that well still.

bump!
i already have 2 sets of XR6 pistons, but unsure if they are the riht ones. can anyone point me in the direction of workshops that specialise in rebuilding the DOHC engines? dont cafe is interstate.
