wow very impressive results. quite spectacular for a smaller turbo. do vl turbos have the same dump pipe flange as the t03s?

Normally different as there is many t3 turbo's as they were on things like z18's to sigma's and vl's aswell as the ait falcon's all in very different configurations.

ok thanks. im glad to hear that someone else has acheived similar results to what the owner of this kit claimed as i had my doubts that he was pulling my leg. did you ever time the thing to 100kph? or get a torque figure on it?

Nah I never did I just went by the seat of my pants feel there was also a couple of very shocked HSV drivers when they were flogged by a s**t old EA.

i can belive that :P i have another questio for you, the t3 series has a really small outlet on the compressor, approx 2 inch. did you run this size all the way to the cooler? is there a benifit from upsizing it straight off the comp outlet or keeping it that size until the cooler. i once heard you should keep the same size from the comp to the cooler and then the same size from the cooler to the throttle body even if one side is bigger than the other. what did you find worked? cheers and once again thanks for the advice

Mine was 2inch until under the guard then it was flared out to 3inch into the cooler it had no probs. If you were shooting for every last kw you would worry about it but if you are using a turbo that is compromised from the outset it won't matter.

yeah well i was planning to keep it 2 inch out of the turbo to save me cutting any body and then bumping it up to 2.5 at the cooler. hopfully it dosnt make too much difference, i dont think it will as i will have to increase it at some stage anyway so extending it for another 12 inches shouldnt make too much difference. this seems the wise thing to do as id rather not have any body cut when i try to get it engineered. got any pics of your setup

yeah cant really make sense of it. when you sought it all out im keen to see some pics of your setup. i huted around the forum but couldnt find much. do you still own the car now? has anyone else had any experiance with the plumbing sizes i listed before as to weather extending the comp outlet size will make much difference?

^if you're looking for something cheaper id recommend going t04 off a s4 rx7...i think they have a different flange on the turbine but thats as easy as an adaptor...
