hey guys, i have a FBT and i did a 15.5 on the 1/4 with it, but would like to get that down to the low 14. if any of you have any ideas or anything it would help heaps..

do some simple things like ghange plugs and leads,high flow air filter.then if you did what more power just change the diff centre

Seriously though, might work out cheaper to turbo it, rather than doing head work, cam, internals etc. to achieve that figure.

Converting to a 5 speed might help get you close if you havnt done that already

i still say turbo, im pretty sure it will be good enough for a low 14,
last time i spoke to snort they were in the middle of their 5L kit for the falcon / fairmont / fairlane

would be good to see a turbo 5L FBT crusing the streets.

im sure itll blow the pants off thoes 2L turbo jap things
even with the extra 500kg being hauled around

not many ppl want to hear about a 393 windsor,

still ticking over in my head to chuck it in the lane.......

Cam, shorter diff gears, and a converter....might even get you into the 13's.

Look in my gallery next to the GT for FBT pics

As for into the 14's, heads off, deck 30, T3 cam, in 4 up. It will get you well into the 14's.....l

It seems people are talking about his car like its an 8, although it was never mentioned......

FBT had the GT's 200kW V8. no sixes.

Supercharger. I wouldn't touch the engine or anything else being an FBT. If you had a charger you could whack it on and take it off whenever you like. Turbo would be a lot more fussy.
