hi,
is it worth me putting a cam from au xr8 200kw into my au 5ltr, as i've read in the forums that it's the most aggressive one of all the tickford motors, i've spoken to herrod he told me that it's not worth doing, as the cam that i have already got are the same?? it does not make sense to me.

The T200kw cam itself is only more agressive than the T220kw cam - not against other OTS cams.

just to clear things the 200kw cam would have more lift than standard 5ltr

Are you asking because you have a T200 cam or are you open to other grinds?

So you already have the cam yeh?
If not its definitely NOT worth paying money for.

If you've got the cam, time, tools and can be f**k putting it in, well, even then its probably not worth putting in lol, because you will be dissapointed in the gain you get.

It is a worthwhile mod but you need the 1.7RR to complement the cam. It pulls to 5,000rpm while the standard cam starts to get asthmatic around 4000rpm.

how much more kw's would i get i know it wouldn't be much, i'm going to put in 1.72 y/t roller rockers, port the exhuast ports plus port match intake manifold to suit the heads, shave 20thou off the heads to up the compression, the mods i've already done to my car are 220kw headers, 2.5" single system, CAI, k&n filter, 3" intake pipe, 3.7 diff gears.

krisisdog, i don't think so, it well be costing me about 2 grand for all the work to be done to my car as my mechanic, as he's got the fastest boat on the southern 80, so i think he'll make my car breath more better that's where the most power comes from
