Problem appears to be blowby. Basically it seems you comp rings have not sealed and as such you are getting oil into your TB via the PCV. A catch can will help, but i would look at getting it sorted properly. Check comp etc

Sounds to me like the rings haven't bedded in correctly... Seems to be a bit of this happening in WA at the moment.

may just be that the rings havnt bedded in yet rather than not in properly

i always expect blow by to some extent and most engines on the road will chuff out of the oil filler cap to some extent

same with the oil in the intake manifold unless its fresh i wouldnt worry just chuck some carby cleaner in the throttle body every now and then

by that i mean carby cleaner bought from repco in the aresol can type stuff

remove the intake hose start the engine and spray in while holding the throttle open slightly while running open or close while spraying enough to keep it running

dont rev to hard or you may cause valve bounce with that stuff spraying in

not the whole can either just enough

i usually do it before every plug change its like a tuneup in a can

that usually cleans out oil from the intake manifold

The engine has done about 83000 ks before the rebuild its only barely done 1000ks new. Kosteki built the engine. its had a cylinder leakage test and cylinders 1 and 3 have about 70% leakage. they say it could be a head gasket or maybe worse... bottom end! were pulling the heads of this week to have a look!.

Rings should have bedded in within 35minutes of running nowadays... Kostecki's have an engine dyno, why not make use of it and get the engine bedded in correctly?
