I've seen a few mod plated 289cui windsor conversions.
you can't relly get a 'kit' to do it.

but it basicly turns them into a poor handling nose heavy POS

Plenty of easier conversions can be done.

a mate of mine has a mk2 escort with a 302 in it .
afaik its a md conversion..
its one crazy car  ..
its a little pushed for space interior wise because of the larger trans tunnel.
probably not the most comfortable car to drive but it seems like one angry ride..
there are at least 2 v8 escorts in nsw that i no are road regestered.
im not sure about other states?

Word went around that MD conversions had only had about 6 compliance places made up for the V8 and then got told that will not be able to make anymore as the size or an escort but thats just what I have heard

just put a duratec 2.3L engine in it with a blower. more then enough power for an escort. and at the end of the straight, when you brake and turn the wheel, the car will go where you want it to.

if you want a V8 and a small ford, get a MK1 capri
