Job finally done!Balanced & blueprinted 302W with 30 thou oversize pistons,ARP bolts throughout,GT 40P heads flowwing 405hp at 550 thou lift,polished cobra intake manifold port matched & flowwed,crane cam part no 449601,yella terra roller rockers (platnum series adjustable),70mm t/b 75mm maf,port matched genie extractors,2500 stall,1/2 inch phenolic spacer,mallory fuel pressure reg, 255gph walbro fuel pump,irridium plugs,24lb injectors.
Car up and running after a few teething problems.Running it in over the next few weeks,then getting it dyno tuned.

Wow, sounds like a monster. Thats the combo I was going with, so I'm very interested to see what the outcome is.

They're my old GT40-P heads too.. before I decided 347 and AFR185's was more fun :P

Drove it home last night,still running a bit rough down low & couldnt get it past 3 grand without it lighting up the rears.But ill be onest (it was rainning)

That combo is so similar to what I am doing... the only difference is the cam you have selected and your TB. I would be interested to see what your eventual dyno graph shows. :)

Looks like it will be a pretty tough combo. Thats a reasonable sized cam as well :)

Can't wait to here how it goes after its fully run in and tuned. Which valvesprings/retainers/locks did you use? What sort of car is it going in?

Motor is in a 95 EF XR8,valve springs and retainers were done by the rebuilder and I havent got the exact specs,I know they are hd double springs and have been shimmed to the correct specs.

Been running it in today & having a bit of trouble with restarting after driving.When I turn it off then hit the ignition it wont start without using the throttle and when it does it is running a bit rich.Help needed.

Try clocking the maf to 9 o'clock ???
