They will be sufficient, but I dare say not ideal.

I originally bought the GT40P's which I sold to you for the purpose of a 5.0L buildup, but then had the idea of going for a 347.. hence selling the heads and going for AFR 185's.

Depends on how much porting and what sort of power you want out of the 347. A nice mild street 347 setup would be fine with GT40P's, just look at the Tickford T3's, they got great results with the GT40P's. If you want a high performance, high horsepower street/strip type engine then you maybe better off with some alloys.

Gday Brad & edxr8
The gt40p heads have been ported & polished & flow 405hp at .550 lift. The reason now for thinking of doing the stroker is I can get a stroker kit for $1000.
Other mods Im doing:75mm Maf
70mm t/b
cobra intake manifold
24 pd injectors
1/2 phenolic spacer
2500 stall convertor
walbro 255l/hr fuel pump
pressure regulator
crane cam 449601
crane adjustable roller rockers 1.6:1
compression ratio of 9.5 to 1

I only drive the car rarley and I was after around 300 to 350 rwhp of fun.

With that combo you should easily reach that sort of power. Make sure you get a decent tune, balance the bottom end and fit a main girdle. $1k for the stroker parts isn't bad, but as you are probably aware it costs a fair bit more than that to prep and fit the kit.

Already way over what I was going to spend so I think the extra cost of parts & prep will squash that idea.Ill stick with 30 thou over pistons balanced & blueprinted motor with a set of arp bolts.Should I still be close to my rwhp im after.
