I want to see one of these driving around the streets of Perth. Actually, I'd love to be driving one of these around the streets of Perth!

He is probably thinking back to FM1 not FM2 which happened November 2004, I can't find all my Focus V8 links, I have them somewhere.

This was one of the first companies to make the kits, straight bolt in
http://www.kugelkomponents.com/focus/focus.html

There is also another company that made a 4.6 conversion and IRS setup, I think it was available as a kit but it wasn't just a bolt in.

My missus wants a small car, hmm I bet if I we had something like this I would end up with having to drive it because it was scary driving around the street, ohhh what a shame

Whoops if I had actually checked this webpage when I opened it I would have seen the IRS option.

Their new 55-57 Chevy chassis looks pretty good, I want one.

I did look up the bolt in kits on a couple of sites when I first saw the vid. For around $5500 you can get the full conversion kit. Then you just need the motor, 'box, ecu and rear axle. I think that's it. It wouldn't be out of this world as far as cost goes. I wonder if it would be at all possible to engineer and register over here?

Maybe if you complied it as a limited build new car (Like the Bullet, which is a highly modified MX5 body fitted with a V8), because I am sure the power to weight/ engine capacity to weight will rule out a legal conversion in probably all states.
