Macarthur parts plus here is Sydneys outskirts has a MkII XR8 5.4+6speed, for 11k. Your 347 stroker is a much cheaper and easier option in my opinion. The work has already been done and the research exists, plus wont need an engineers cert for the 347

I think you might have trouble with the width of the BA engine into the EB eng bay. Good luck if you do it, it'd be a weapon!!!

Will definitely need engineerin certificate.

I've got the factory 347 stroker and the standard 5.4 is no contest. I have an exhaust and k&n with cold air intake and it turns 221rwkw. power comes in lower revs and it uses less fuel also the 5.4 sounds like a beefed up six cylinder in comparison. (no doubt that will upset a few but opinions vary)

you will not fit a 5.4 boss motor in the engine bay without modifying the shock towers or the rocker covers on the BOSS motor. i have measured a 5.4 and they are over 800mm wide as i have investigated the idea myself. An E-series engine bay is approx 800mm wide. You would be much advised to follow the 351 route as they do fit, i have helped put one in an EL.

Why not stroke the 351 to 408/427. The money you sell your 302 for will pay for a complete 351 and it doesnt cost a whole lot more to stroke a 351 than a 302.

The more cubes the better
