finely convinced my old man to buy a ford so today he bought a 1998 Ford Falcon GLi classic with the 5Litre V8 motor bought it for $4800

auto
Mags
LSD
142,332kms on the clock
cat back exhaust
Lowered Suspension
Dark Tint
No Dents
No Paint Scratches
artic silver in color

Problem with the car read below\/

beautiful car in and out will get photos soon as we can pick it up from the blokes house anyway

the reason why it was soo cheap is because the is a broken heater hose at the back of the engine but we can not see it well it looks to be pissing coolant out from the back of the engine but donno where it's coming from

Check one of the small hoses from the EGR to the manifold. When i brought mine it did exactly the same thing. Is a pain to fix, engine cover off, top of manifold off, then replace all rear hoses, if the coolant is not kept up to them they corrode from the inside and become very brittle.
Cheers
Brett

Yeah probably heater tap because it will be the hardest to fix. The tap itself is $60 from memory. A lot of cursing as well.

Yes, the two heater hoses from the back of the EGR are usually a problem. You can't buy them aftermarket, only genuine Ford.

BUT, you could substitute them for generic small diameter hose. Buy a metre length and replace the old ones. You can also bypass the EGR completely, just use one length of hose and connect it back to the lower manifold. I've had mine disconnected for years (because the EGR upper and lower metal pies are corroded) with no problem.

It's not that hard to fix, just take your time. you'll need a long screwdriver to get to the lower clamps, but it's fairly simple.

Mike

EGR hoses are easier than the tap lol.. It's all relative. I needed to replace mine when I did the intake. Just use normal heater hose.

You can always just block the off the EGR coolant lines.
Mine are blocked off.
Did you get the same manifold or did you get an Explorer one?
