Dave

347 :D

Mate, I did give the Dart block serious consideration but decided I couldn't take the chance that their siamese bore configuration might bugger cooling for 4wd useage etc.

Couldn't find any good stock blocks in Perth so I brought a complete low klm AUXR8 engine which is on its way from the east :D

Scaffy

For sure, although I'm not really into mud or climbing rough hills because its there etc only if I have to on my travels as it has a front ARB air locker and a super trick rear that is a gear driven LSD and a full locker at the flick of a switch :D plus other stuff I've invented and made. Although I've been in the Victorian high country with some Vic guys and that was freakin awesome. But I do a LOT of beach work trying to find fish :D

I drive to Bathurst and so far she's done 12 across Oz trips and even been overseas on a barge :D to Fraser Island in QLD :D

Engine has now done just over 259,000klms so the rings are a bit tired hence I reckon it's time she got a fresh 347 :D

Do you have the EB setup now, if so do you want to take some close up detailed photos and do some documentation on what was required for change over. Can you also take some photos with both EB and AU parts next to each other, then explain the differences. We could then assembly a technical document with you being the author.

This offer goes out to anyone.

whoa mitchg911, I had to do a double take when I saw your bay - very similar to mine originally. Here are some pics of my EB's just before finishing.

Thanks,

yeh the pics in the mag were when the engine was originally finished but those pics didn't do much for me so when I decided to fit a bigger cam, out it all came and more detail work went into it. I tried to not get too carried away so did some very basic clean-up and hiding of things like wires and some hoses. It looks a heap better and now presents like the exterior of the car. Still gotta redo the filter setup and then I'll call it finished.
