Heres some pics of heads from 5lt EFI Windsors.
One is from an 87 F150, and the other is from an 02 AUII XR8 signature engine. The pics are of the exhaust ports.
Which heads are better????
The fresh rust one is the AU head.

F series head will be E7TE, and AU will be GT40P. No comparison between the two.

Whats the difference????
The old heads look like they have squarer, larger exhaust ports.

The issue is not with the exhaust ports, and in any event it is not at the manifold face that is crucial. The intake port of the AUII head is far superior, hence why Ford ditched the E7s from their performance vehicles when the power levels needed to exceed 190Kw.
