hi there guys i have a problem with my power steering pump on my
Au xr8 series2 the problem is a the fitting it wont stop leaking and i can't seem to get the line out off the fitting to replace the o ring if anyone can help that would be great thanks michael.

You have to cut it off with a hacksaw and slip a new one on. Ford spares will have them. You have to be super careful not to get the oil line beneith the fitting, otherwise the new fitting could blow off.

Pull the bracket off, then get it serviced. Its the easiest way, just take the whole bracket and pump to a PS place

far as I knew they were a urethane type seal made in with the fitting and once undone is quite common not to be able to seal. Solution is to buy a new hose. At least thats what I was told by our local power steer guy when he sold my son a new pump. His exact words, "give it a go and if it leaks buy a new hose"

Hang on read it again AU series 2 not 3 so you must have the tear drop pump in which case just get an exchange unit its easier. Son has the same pump as the BA
