Look I know this question has probley been asked s**t loads but Im too lazy to go through all the topics in this forum, so pulling out the 4.0l of my EL fairmont and wackin in the 5.0L from same model, whats the go, Ive been told couple things like wiring looms n s**t, but any info, tips suggestions would be great. And drive line info just anything to do with this project would be appreciated. And! what are some things I can do to beef it up a few extra kilowatts out of her, I know theres the obvious stuff but wanna know what others have done and its tried and tested all the good stuff. dude, save the trouble and buy an 8
You will need to change the whole front wiring loom over as well as the ecu and bem looms iirc
the bellhousing is diff as well to the tranny
not 100% sure on the tranny either

if you do go this route
you will need a complete new exhaust, throw a good set of headers and sports mufflers etc on at the same time
new cam and some roller rockers

i agree dont waste your time i did one at work alll the dash wirings has to be changend gear box belhouseing mounts exaushts oxy sensors and alll that s**t
