Injection perfection are at Bankstown Airport, Drover Road if I remember correctly. They were still in business last week when I went past. So I assume they are still open.

You'd be looking at around $3500 all up.

i may have quoted the wrong price, it was a long time ago.

this was on my au falcon for a while when i borrowed it of the old mercury.

its the same as whats on the early gt40 racer.

these are great for wot and racing but due to the fact that the throttle bodies are mounted horizontal the air gets disterbed at low throttle positions. part throttle pops and backfires with tuning being nearly impossible at low throttle.

the newer systems have the butterflys mounted at an angle with a xover pattern in the runners and work much better.

i have a pic of the newer manifolds here somwhere.

hi there bill.

i have to disagree a lil there.. mine are mounted in the same manner as yours, whilst it did take me some time to get them all opening in sync and evenly balanced at idle, mine is very happy low down...

it took a fair bit of tuning, but once i got it sorted it doesnt pop or backfire.. id be inclined to believe its your tune that is the issue, not the opening angle of the butterflys..

i notice you also have your injectors down the outside of the manifold... mine started life this way, but i converted it so the injectors had a better shot into the port(ie fuel rails in the middle of the valley). i believe this was also a major contributing factor to low down drivability and the elimination of backfires etc...

could you not use the throttle bodies from a toyota 20valve 4age engine? or do you specifically want this set?

im repowering my ae82 corolla with a 20valve 4age, and sold some of my spare throttle bodies to a guy over here, hes running an injection system for a v8 gt40 replica

I'd be curious if the 20V TBs would be big enough...

i understand what your saying mitch, my large cam and high comp would not help the matter also.

did you just rotate the tb housings around or is there more to it than that.
