Driving to work this morning I get into the carpark and car stalled. It does this on occasion for a few reasons anyhow, but this time the car failed to start and the warning light on the dash popped on "(!)" After a few goes she went fine. Is this an alternator/bad earth issue? Just asking quickly here for ideas, im gonna whip out the volt meter at lunch and have a look.
EDIT: Battery light didnt light up either though.
Thanks :)

If you do get it started, check that voltage across the battery terminals is between 13.8v ~ 14.8v as this would imply the alternator is charging. I get about 14.2v which is reasonably optimum.

I believe that's the brake failure warning.

...however, if your car is going to explode if you go under 50mph then perhaps it's not an issue...
