Just wondering if anyone out there has swapped the 5 litre block in their AU for a 351 windsor block and what issues there were with things like tower clearance exhaust and bonnet etc.

Clearance is more of an issue on AU 1&2 with it's scalloped bonnet. The problem is less pronounced with AU3s' domed bonnet. Otherwise everything else is the same as E-series.....piece-o-piss!
Remember that AU by Hilliers called the Arrow? That had a 392W in it with an Edelbrock Victor 5.8 intake on it. They made a special bonnet for it. Pete. |

Nope,
5.0L = 8.2" deck 5.8L = 9.5" deck which, is in fact taller than a Cleveland @ 9.2". Pete. |
