Well what do you want from the motor? Is it a numbers game or just a tire frying smile on your dial?

There's heaps of import companies.. I was qoted $3200 to bring in a whole car from Lass Vegas So an engine wouldn't be too much.. Compared to what they charge for crate motors here...Ring them !! They often have freight discount on big items... Optus is $5 and hour to call U.S..

i would be extremely wary of dealing with people a long way from you. if you are not able to get in someone's face, they generally don't give a f**k if something goes bad. i have enough trouble with people in adelaide and sydney, let alone america.

If i do go ahead with it i requested the engine just to be machined and ready to assemble so it will come in pieces so i know whats there.

Actually dealing with the US is pretty good they have a pretty good rep for customer service etc.

I import a lot of 4wd stuff and find it easier to deal with the US than the Aus dealers also get it alot quicker and a hella lot cheaper.

Pays to know what your getting first though so theres no confusion.

Just my 2c
