I rang pacemaker today - to do a "new" extractor they want at least 100-150 orders to cover the R&D costs. I put it forward to them to do a copy of the ELGT extractor - of which I would supply a new one to copy from. I have set up a meeting with the head of R&D on friday. I was also told that the Pacemaker tuned length E series extractor was never put into production....

you are right shane,, i was looking,, they only did them for the AU's :(

I will plead a case that E series tuned length extractors are a nessacity for people modding the 5.0 - especially now strokers are becoming more prevailant. See how we go.

I already have a set of Pacemaker Tri-y's on my EL XR8..
Would it be worth replacing with the tuned length that u guys are looking at gettin made up? Or just stick with the tri-y's?

Also, if the swap is worthwhile, will it be a straight swapover for me? (seeing that i already have paceys)

Hey guys,

Ummm ... not sure if you are all aware of this ....

4-into-1 extractors to suit EB-EL are available from Difilippo in Victoria.

http://www.darrendifilippo.com.au/ford_sys.html

$2100 for the FULL SYSTEM delivered to Sydney!

Not bad I thought.

I mentioned the EL GT extractors and 'Darren' said that his primaries are longer and that the 4 pipes dont get squash up at the cone like factory exhausts do.

Has anyone used these? I think this system maybe on my list of to do over the coming months once I decide on new cylinder heads ...

Cheers

I've got an idea,
Buy a set of just about any other aftermarket head for just a little more(and sometimes less) money and forget about 40P's!
Unless the 40p's fell off the back of a truck and were the TS50 type head with the big valves why would you bother? practically every other aftermarket head available kicks their a***! Even the GT40 Y303 alloy heads I just picked up for $1300 landed outflow 40p's plus they're lighter and can be ported to outflow even the wildest ported 40p's!

Cheers,
Pete.
