i was just wondering would i have to change anything if i use the au3 loom, comp, i think the only thing i will need to change will be the headers right...
i will re use absolutely every thing...will this work... i thin what we will do is use the coil packs.cam sencor etc etc... please help im just throwing ideas together and hoping for the best oh yeah by the way... its a au3 220 kw motor and its going in a ef xr8

What XR8ute said, except your dash will work...serial protocol is the same from EF. You'll need the key and ignition lock too(easier if you put the whole column in) because it's smartshield. You will be using the coil packs etc because that's the only way the AU EEC will run it.

is changing to smart shield likely to be easy. or far from...its me and a mate doing the job... i didnt really plan on encountering that...lol damn. o well i new there were allways gonna b glitches.
are the au3 xr8 motors immobolised as well. if so will this pose as a problem at all
cheers for the feed back guys. keep it up. jagga... and will i have to get the computer remappet to suit my tranny as well...i think this is gonna b a little harder than we originally thaught...

Smartshield is what imobilises your engine. What trans are you using?
It may also be possible to reflash the smartshield out of your EEC.
What is the catch code of the EEC?

hey pete i will have a look after i finish work... cheers. pete just wondering if i could grab ur mobile number and ill give u a call once i find it out. plus i tend to understand stuff a little more when im bieng told it... cheers jagga...

do u know of any 1 who has done this conversion the way that i am intending on doing it.
