hey guys just wondering for a rough figure. i have got the au3 220 motor going in this coming saturday. its going into a ef xr8. just wondering if she will accelerate harder than what it would had it still been in the au. also i will be putting the au trans in. i have been told that this will fit in my ef. no worries
also yeah an estimated rwkw figure... engine has done 120000.
cheers guys.

RWKW should be around 160-165 rwkw.. and yes it should accelerate a lil bit better in your EF than the same motor in the AU.. due to less weight..

is the EF xr actually lighter than the AU? I was under the impression the AU was lighter, plus it has a better suspension setup.
A supra should run 13s stock :S. that dude cannot drive.

Depends on if you will be running the AU computer w/70mm MAF and 24lb injectors?

I dunno about weight compared to EF, but the AU XR8's where certainly heavy-ish with their IRS rear ends.

I would think low 14's will be a no brainer, but not sure you will better your mates 14.1's Supra if the motor is left stock.

However the best mods straight-up might be a higher stall converter in the auto, and some shorter diff gears...

Mark III wouldn't pull a 13 stock. Low to mid 14 at best I would think.

The Mark IV is good for a 13.9 stock at it's best. You only need to get the cooler & zorst done, and they will pull mid 13s.

They are a lot heavier than they look.

Jagga: Is your mates one a Mark III (squarer shape more common), or Mark IV (rounder shape, with circle tail lights)?

It is a Mark IV then. Should be able to push a high 13 if he gets an awesome launch. Won't take much to lower that though. Tell him to get on the Supra Forums. Plenty of info on there. :D

And yes, you should kick his a$$ shortly. If you don't, I will be disappointed in you.

Lot of try hard wogs too lol. Supra forums ain't as useful as a lot of forums out there, kinda sucks there's not much in the way of workshops around that specialize in the 2jz either.
And yeah Kilma, I just assumed it would be a mkIV, who would want a mkIII? lol.
Either way, you'll need more than just the AU engine if he learns how to drive, and his gains mod for mod will give him an exponential power increase to yours dollar for dollar.

i got a 13.9 out of my series 3 xr8 with exhaust, extractors, air filter and 3.9 diff gears but its a 5 speed manual. syou've got the auto so it should be easier to launch, u shouldnt be too far off a 14.1 anyway
