Hi all, I own a AUII XR8 Ute, manual, and at the moment it is stock!!!, apart from a performance exhaust. I am thinking a power increase is on the cards, for about 20-40kw. Reading through the FORD Motorsport cat., the next cam up from the B303, which i believe to be the cam the XR8 has, is the X303. Has anyone had experiance with this cam in this motor :?: or is this cam a bit wild !!
Maybe any other cams out there that will do the job. I want to hear real experiance, with maybe other mods. I dont want to pull the heads off. I also hear the standard computer is up to the job for the changes i am looking at??
Is there all so any air filter/box air intake, worth looking at.

Do the $2 intake mod with the pipe into the front of the box. I did it after the cam and it works great.

I run a 2031 with 1.72 r/r. very similar to the 2030.
the 2030 would be my choice if you want to make power upto about 5500rpwm and change at 6000 or just over. Better inlet would make it work better again but i'm up around 180rwkw (240-250fwkw). 14.4's on average tires with 900 rpm launch.

If i had my time again i might go a little bigger like TFS1. but the 2031 works great. You'll need a chip to enjoy it fully. Chiptorque are best bang for buch and can control many more functions than unichip.
