G'day, I can pick up a cheap set of BA XR6 17's - off a BA.

I have heard around that you can put them on E Series, however the setup is a little different.

Can anyone shed a little light on the situation?

Thanks

You need spacers because the mags will sit in too far from the different offset.Been done heaps of times

ive been running mine with 35mm adapters for over a year with not one problem. they are done up using locktite on the threads. the problems i have heard about seem to be from user having incorrect or loose nuts fitted ( using adapters from skylines etc with the wrong thread- 12x 1.5 and somehow the nuts were mixed up ) or having the rim mounting lips removed from them. floating spacers are illegal in sa . i see no difference in using these to having the correct e series offset rim

legalities, potential safety risk, have a search through the forum its been discussed plenty, and you can get the wheels in the correct offset off ebay, fordforums etc.

true, but not 5 of them all with good tyres for $200....

I did do a search and had a mixed bag of opinions....

as long as threads/studs and nuts match, and installed properly...there should be no issues

I would also check if they are legal in your state, if you have a prang your insurance may not cover you.
$200 is very cheap
