The FPV BOSSes get bigger cams than the 260's did. So they do have a more pronounce on/off area.

Either way, a set of shorter diff gears will really wake it up, only down side is increased fuel consumption and tyre wear (but if you're worried about that, why'd you buy a V8).

i didnt know the pfv had bigger cam so that now makews sence. haha thanks

and as for gears... yeah i want to get them at the moment just wanting to wait a little, got something to pay for then going to do the gears. i burn a set of tyres every 2 months either way so whats a month and a half :P

make sence, they do run alot differant.. i was told by someone that the fpv motors aint as good as the xr motors in a sence of working them, something like the xr motors where built in australia and the fpv where from america or somewhere else cant remember does anyone know if this is true

Nope that someone is pulling your leg. They(290 engines) have different rods/pistons for 10.5 :1 comp and different cams. the heads are the same and the crank and block and intake are the same.
