I went into Bayford today to get a price on a clutch cable for the wagon- while I was there I thought I would see if they were still selling the Explorer Manifold which I am after for my EF. Yep they sure do...around 1.5k for the upper, and 1.6 k for the lower...bloody hell..

Anyway the guy serving me added his 2 cents in..

"I wouldn't bother its the same manifold with different castings on the outside"

Well...I went on to "inform the ford specialist" that its not the case- and that HO and explorer are totally different...i mean even the dumbest f**k could see that, as we all know the ports are configured completely different....

then he added...... " maybe you should get a high lift one"

maybe he meant a Phelonic Spacer?? *lol*

anyone heard of a high lift manifold??????

That was enough for me....what are these guys taking??? LSD for brekky?

Well done BayFord....keep up the staff training!!!!!!

Aren't these guys classed as 'parts interpreters' nowdays? I guess he's just giving you his interpretation - thankfully the automotive industry is a little less blurred than the arts :)

You can get a Explorer intake off the U.S. Explorer SUV's from Eagle down in Dandenong South for not too much money as they're second hand off the U.S. motors. Slightly different EGR on them too from memory.
