Could anyone give me some info on extractors for a boss 260 and would modification in this manner void warranty?

The workshop Manager at my local dealer told me exhaust modification wouldn't void my warranty, but I've also heard of warranty's being cancelled for alot less than just an exhaust modification.

Go and speak to a couple of dealerships to confirm about warranty, rules change so best to get the latest, maybe ask them to contact Ford themselves to confirm. Then stick with the same dealership (if they are decent), always speak nice to them and most will look after you, when I worked at a couple of Ford dealerships they always looked after the customers that looked after them, a blind eye to the vehicle being modified some what. But on the other hand who helps an a***hole that doesnt help you, trust me this happens no matter what they say. As the old saying goes, "Speak only to people how you would like to be spoken to".

i was told it wouldn't be voided from the top man at a local dealership!

well if thats what you've been told then go for it. but id want something in writing first. like dw said, ive heard of warrantys being voided for much less than an exhaust

if you ask the dealership where your car was bought from and they give you the a-ok, just get them to sign a form saying that they have approved that the modification of X will not void your warrenty.

the boss 260 comes out with headers to change to extractors is not nessasary the amount of money spent for the gain you get its realy not worth it the warrenty side i dout that it would but depends on what dealer you go to as some can be real mongrels
