Hey there guys. Ive been looking 4 a new car for a while now and i now know i want an AU XR8....Now how much do they go for? And whats the most i should pay for one?
Also...Buying a 5 ltr thats done more than 200,000kms on it....is that bad nas well? like will the motor be ruff at around that time? cheers

For a Series 1 AU XR8, i wouldn't pay more than about 12k, if its immaculate, and is fully optioned up.
For the Series 2's and 3's it would go up to around the 18k mark. Nah 200,000kms for the windsors, means it basically just run in. You shouldn't notice anything different from one with less than 100,00km's. |

Motor will be hardly worn at 200 thousand.
But things like colling systems, power steering systems, transmissions etc will warrant closer inspection than the motor.

From what i can remember my mate picked up an AUII XR8 black, manual with easily less then 200,000km on the clock, it had leather interior and premium sound for about 14,000 and that was about 12months ago.

I may know of someone willing to sell there AUIII XR8 - Red and manual - almost perfect condition been very well looked after and garaged its whole life - pretty sure its only one owner whos ford mad and just touched over 100,000kms....very low kms for this model car...
Whats your realistic budget...this car is located in Canberra

my budget is around 13 to 14gz max...cause im trying to sell my EA as soon as i can so i can use that money on top of my savings....
If anyone wants to by my 1990 EA Fairmont Ghia, Factory 5 Speed, Log Books, Lowered, 18" BA XR8 rims system...PM ME...wanting ONLY 3800 for it!!!!

Nice choice, I love AU XR8's especially series 3's, expect to pay up to 18k for a good one tho..
