Did the coolant tank for any ELs come in a solid black? The V8 I looked at today had a solid black coolant tank and had Ford and a part number stamped on it. Never seen that before. It was an EL XR8.

No that I am aware of, but I have seen a number of them painted black. Looks much better than the brown/yellow colour they turn after a while.

It seems a bit silly seeing as you cant see the level anymore. Better off getting a new one.

Yeah I agree, although if it has the low coolant sensor then it wouldn't be much of a problem I guess.

It did have the sensor but I'd rather know before the light comes on that I am losing coolant.
